🧠 How Lil Groovers Supports School Readiness
Many parents hear the phrase “school readiness”, but what does that actually mean for this age?
In Lil Groovers classes, children practise many of the same skills they will need when they start school.
They learn to:

✔ Participate in group activities
✔ Take turns and wait patiently
✔ Line up and transition between activities
✔ Sit and focus during learning moments
✔ Regulate emotions through breathing and calming strategies
Even the small routines in class play a big role.
Children learn where to place their water bottle, how to sit with the group at the start of class, and how to wait for their turn in activities.
These routines gently introduce structure while still allowing children to explore and play.

👶 Starting Young: Big Person & Me
For our youngest groovers, we offer Big Person & Me classes for children from 18 months but these are also fantastic for any child who may not yet feel ready to join a class independently.
Instead, a parent, grandparent or caregiver joins them as they explore movement, music and play together.
This creates a beautiful stepping stone into structured activities.
Children can:

✨ Slowly build the independence needed for future classes
Many children start in Big Person & Me, then naturally transition into independent Lil Groovers classes once they feel ready.

LIL BALLET

Our little ballerinas embark on a captivating ballet journey under the guidance of Tippy the unicorn. Each class is an adventure, combining the basics of ballet with a sprinkle of fun and creativity. LIL TAP and LIL JAZZ
Unleash your little one's inner pop star with Lil Jazz and Tap class. These classes are more than just a dance lesson; it's a gateway to a world of vibrant energy and dynamic beats. LIL ACROBATS
Leap into a world of strength, agility, and imagination withLil Acrobats at P, a signature offering in our Preschool Dance Classes in Moranbah and Dysart! This class isn't just any acrobatics course; it's a thrilling adventure led by Trixz, the flipping fox, who guides young learners through an exploratory journey of flips and fun!
Lil Groovers embark on a new adventure to different destinations, mastering foundational techniques like straddles, bunny hops, and pikes taking them all the way to handstands, cartwheels and bridges!

LIL HIP HOP
At , Pulse. Lil Hip Hop is more than just a dance class – it's an immersive experience designed to engage and inspire. Our classes focus on mastering the five elements of hip-hop, utilizing visual learning techniques to ensure every child finds their groove. With our specially designed mat, your child will excel in floor work, perfect their footwork, and enhance their balance skills, all while exploring different shapes, colors, and even learning to tell time
LIL NINJAS
In Lil Ninjas classes, every week is a new journey as your child conquers physical challenges, fostering independence and teamwork. This program isn't just about physical prowess; it's a nurturing space that promotes mental resilience, pushing boundaries in a supportive environment.
Designed for children who delight in sports and play, Lil Ninjas helps build essential coordination skills, crucial for dance and other physical activities. Our Lil Cheer class emphasises spellbinding, sharp movements, turning every routine into a captivating spectacle.

Many parents worry their little one will be too shy or nervous to perform in our concerts.
But when children start performing while they’re still little, they don’t learn stage fright — they learn that being on stage is exciting and fun.
We keep the whole experience simple and stress-free for families. Lil Groovers have their own magical concert separate from the big kids.
Costumes are provided, there are no extra rehearsals, no makeup, and everything is prepared during their normal class time.
For many of our Lil Groovers, concert becomes the highlight of their year — and something they talk about long after the curtain closes.
🛍️ A Studio Designed for Families
One of the things parents love about Lil Groovers is our location inside Moranbah Fair Shopping Centre.
While your child is safely enjoying their class, you can relax in our waiting area and watch the magic happen on our live class monitor!
You’ll be able to see exactly what your little one is learning as they dance, explore and grow in confidence.
And something special happens in that waiting area too. Parents chat, laugh and share stories while their children are in class — and many tell us they’ve actually made some of their closest friendships right there in the studio waiting room.
